An emergency project to repair northbound Highway 1 one-half mile north of Jalama Road will result in a full closure of the roadway over the next few days from 8 am to 4 pm.

Travelers can expect one-way traffic control with delays up to 20 minutes when the full highway closure is not in place from 4 pm to 8 am.
This full closure of Highway 1 for storm repairs will occur during the daytime from 8 am to 4 pm and will open with traffic control from 4 pm to 8 am through the overnight hours.
During the full closure, travelers will need to take an alternate route.
Message and directional signs will be in place to alert the traveling public. Please allow extra time during your commute.
The contractor for this $3 million emergency project is Granite Construction of Watsonville, CA. Repairs are expected to be complete within the next three weeks depending on weather.
