After an intense pre-season of early morning practices and strenuous workouts, the UC Santa Barbara’s Men’s and Women’s Swim teams are primed for the 2023-24 season. The Blue-Green rivalry continues as the Gauchos embark on their season opener against Cal Poly this Friday, Oct. 6.

The annual Blue and Gold intrasquad meet, held last Saturday, provided the coaches with a firsthand look at how the teams hard work has paid off this preseason.
“Our intrasquad last week was a great way to set the tone for the start of dual meet season”, said head Coach, Jaclyn Rosen. “We are looking forward to traveling to Cal Poly, racing a full lineup, and competing against an MPSF rival”.
Building upon the success of the 2022-23 season, which included an impressive 7-1 dual meet record, a second-place team finish at the MPSF Championships for the men, and a fourth-place finish for the women’s team last February, the swimmers are ready and excited to get back to competition.
The much-anticipated meet against Cal Poly is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. this Friday at the Anderson Aquatic Center.
