By now, you have probably heard of the issues Southwest has had over the past couple of days, with canceling flights across the country due to the storm. The effect of the flight cancelations has been felt far and wide, and frustrated passengers have been interviewed by national media outlets.
Our small-town airport is no different, and the impacts from Southwest can be felt here as well.
As you can see from the real-time arrivals at Santa Barbara Airport for Dec. 28, 2022, Southwest has three incoming flights canceled; two from Las Vegas and one from Denver.

On the departure side from Santa Barbara Airport, Southwest has two flights out of four total flights that are showing as delayed; the other two showing as canceled. There’s hope for some passengers leaving Santa Barbara to get to Las Vegas and Denver.
