With the Goleta City Council’s recent decision to narrow Hollister Avenue, we found this historical newspaper clipping amusing.
It reads: SOMEWHAT CROWDED – There are 20,000 cars traversing Hollister Avenue in the airport district, officials told the chamber of commerce, and they travel on a road designed to carry half that many. Construction work in widening the road to four lanes is adding to the confusion.
