Santa Barbara County District Attorney John T. Savrnoch announced today that 22-year-old Justin Obinna Asinobi has been charged with 26 counts of Unlawful Electronic Peeping, a Misdemeanor in violation of Penal Code section 647(j)(2). Counts 1 through 12 pertain to identified victims, and Counts 13 through 26 pertain to unidentified victims.
The defendant appeared in Court today February 22, 2023, before Honorable Judge Raimundo Montes de Oca. Bail was set at $200,000, and the defendant was ordered not to have any contact with the victims, stay out of Isla Vista and be subject to GPS monitoring. The Court continued arraignment to Friday, February 23, 2023, in Department 8 of the Santa Barbara Superior Court.
