Each spring, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors a nationwide high school arts contest designed to recognize the talents of young artists across the U.S.
This is a reminder that the deadline for entries in this year’s contest is Wednesday, April 19th!
One winning entry from the Central Coast will be selected for display at the U.S. Capitol for the year. The winning artist will also receive two round-trip airline tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the unveiling ceremony with Members of Congress and special guests. Three honorable mention entries will also be displayed in each of my congressional offices.
Students interested in entering this year’s contest must register to receive the rules and submission instructions here.
All entries will be showcased in an art gallery show on May 4, 2023 for artists and their families to see this year’s submissions.
I strongly encourage Central Coast students to participate to showcase their talents, skills, and vision. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Esmeralda Estrada at the Santa Barbara/Ventura Office (Esmeralda.Estrada@mail.house.gov), or Yessenia Echevarria at the SLO Office (Yessenia.Echevarria@mail.house.gov).
I look forward to seeing the wonderful work your students submit!
