Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded at 5:17 pm to a call in Isla Vista where two college-age male subjects were rescued from a kayak that flipped in the surf. The incident happened between Camino Quarto and Camino Del Sur off of Del Playa in Isla Vista. Both subjects were safely returned to the beach, and no injuries were reported.
