Join Us for Caroling in the Gazebo BEFORE the Goleta Holiday Parade

Time Change: Holiday Carolers to Perform from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

What better way to get ready for the Old Town Goleta Holiday Parade this Saturday, December 2, at 6:00 p.m. than joining us for some holiday caroling at 5:00 p.m. BEFORE the parade starts.  The Santa Barbara Noël Carolers will be performing in the gazebo located at 5679 Hollister Avenue from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. (This is different than the original time of 7:30 p.m.)  Beat the crowd, bundle up, and get into the holiday spirit to kick off parade night.

A couple of reminders for Saturday.

    • The parade route is on Hollister Avenue from Orange to Kinman.
    • Orange Avenue between Hollister Avenue and Carson Street, and Gaviota Street between Orange Avenue and Magnolia Street, will be closed at 4:00 p.m. for parade staging.
    • Hollister Avenue will be closed to traffic, including e-bikes, starting at 5:00 p.m. and is scheduled to re-open at approximately 8:30 p.m.
    • If your vehicle is parked in the parade route it will be cited and towed.
    • If you are attending the parade, please allow time for parking and carpool if possible.
    • Public parking is available in the Yardi parking lot at 430 S. Fairview Avenue.

Bring your positive attitude and patience with you.  There are 70 parade entries and 1,400 participants in the 2023 Old Town Goleta Holiday Parade presented by Fuel Depot and Elks Lodge. Look forward to colorful floats, musical ensembles, spirited dance groups, the Mayor and Councilmembers traveling in vintage cars, Mr. Claus himself etc.…

Ed Holdren, President of the Greater Goleta Santa Barbara Lion’s Club said the group is proud to put on this cherished tradition once again.  He said, “The Old Town Goleta Holiday Parade holds a special place in our hearts, providing a chance for the community to unite and celebrate the holidays. It wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors, and we are incredibly grateful for their generous contributions and support.”

Be sure and check out the businesses along the parade route on Saturday night and help us determine who should be the winner of the City of Goleta’s first Holiday Window Decorating contest. Photos of the most festive ones will be posted on the City’s Facebook and Instagram pages where you can like and comment.

We can’t wait to see you in Old Town on Saturday night.
