    Ellen Chase to Serve as Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise President in 2024-25

    The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is pleased to announce the election of Ellen Chase as club president for the 2024-25 Rotary year.

    The President-Elect Nominee (PEN) is selected by way of a committee made up of past presidents. This committee was convened by the immediate past president, Eric Ryan, and consisted of 18 past presidents.

    Judith McCaffrey is currently serving as club president. Bruce Belfiore is President-Elect and will lead beginning July 1, 2023. Ellen’s term will begin on July 1, 2024. She will serve with Sherry Sim, District 5240 Governor 2024-25.

    Ellen has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise since 2017. She was sponsored by Sandra O’Meara and holds the classification of Certified Public Accounting. Over the years, she has served on the club’s Board of Directors and, most recently, as Community Service Co-Chair.

    Ellen is an Accountant with the firm Nasif, Hicks, Harris & Co., LLP, and specializes in estate, trust and individual matters. Ellen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the Ohio State University, a Masters in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech and later received a Certificate in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to her career in accounting, Ellen worked in manufacturing for technology companies. She has been a licensed CPA since 2009 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

    The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is made up of local business, professional, and civic leaders. We meet regularly, get to know each other, and form friendships, and through that, we’re able to get things done in both our local and global communities. We meet for breakfast on the first and third Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. at the historic Santa Barbara Club, located at 1105 Chapala Street, Santa Barbara. Please join us as our guest and meet our members, get to know our club, and learn why Rotary is an outstanding service organization.
