The City of Goleta wants to encourage you to shop local this holiday season and with #GoodLandGoodShopping it’s never been easier. Go to GoodLandGoodShopping.com and purchase digital gift cards to more than three dozen Goleta businesses. Even better, you can customize your gift by emailing or texting it to the recipient with a personal video message. Watch our video in English or Spanish to find out more.
To promote GoodLandGoodShopping this holiday season, the City is highlighting each of our GoodLandGoodShopping vendors on our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) beginning on Monday, November 21st through the holiday season. Each spotlight will include a great holiday gift idea from that business.
Also, as an incentive to visit the diverse group of merchants featured on the site, if you register to have an account on GoodLandGoodShopping.com by December 31st, you will automatically be entered to win a $100 gift card to a #GoodlandGoodShopping vendor of your choice.
Why is the City doing this? City of Goleta Community Relations Manager Kelly Hoover said, “It’s simple. We love our awesome Goleta businesses and want to support them, especially this holiday season. Our goal is to have shoppers hit the pause button and think Goleta when shopping, dining, or purchasing services as gifts.”
The City launched #GoodLandGoodShopping last year in advance of the holiday season to help support Goleta businesses recover from the financial impacts of the pandemic. The City partnered with Giftbar, a San Luis Obispo-based company with experience and expertise in gift card commerce. Giftbar hosts businesses on its platform with the technology for businesses to sell and redeem e-gift cards.
