CHP has identified the victims as Jenna Causby, 19, and Dorothyann Guthrie, 20, from Lompoc. Both were killed when they were hit by a wrong-way driver.
Kyle Nelson, 22, of Goleta, was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Nelson was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Santa Barbara County Fire reports that two people have died while another was critically injured in a head-on collision on Highway 1 approximately 1 mile west of Highway 101 near Gaviota early this morning.
